Unit Leader / Handler K-9 Duke - Red Bloodhound (Retired)K-9 Mose – Red BloodhoundLee is a founding member of the Arkansas Alliance of Bloodhound Search Specialists. He has been with the Pope County K-9 Unit since 2000. He has been training and handling bloodhounds for search and rescue since 1999. Lee is a Paramedic / Firefighter currently serving as the Assistant Fire Marshal / Arson Investigator with the Russellville Fire Department. Some of his certifications include: Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Fire Officer I, Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor I, IRHMI: Concept Implementation, Defensive Driving, Meth-lab awareness, Arson Investigator, Crime Scene Investigation and Evidence Collection, Haz-mat Technician, High Angle Rope Rescue Technician, Confined Space Rescue Technician, Swift Water Rescue Technician, Auto Extraction, former Police Chief, Basic Marksmanship, Aerosol Defensive Spray Operations, Tazer Operations, and Radar / Lidar Operations. Lee is also currently serving as a Reserve Deputy with Pope County Sheriff's Office. Lee has attended numerous seminars and classes.

Kim Burnett

Kim is also a founding member of the alliance. She began working as a backup member to another BH handler in 1993. In December 1996, she began handling her own bloodhounds. Kim currently works as a full time accountant in Russellville, Arkansas. She has been with the Pope County K-9 Unit since 2001. Kim holds a Bachelor's in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University, a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and a Bachelor's in Accounting from Arkansas Tech University. Kim also has held her Private Pilot’s certificate since 1998. In 2002, she completed First Responder course and in 2003 completed the Part Time II training course. Kim worked as a veterinary technician for 8 years in Clarksville, Arkansas. She has also taught individual obedience classes since 1990. In addition, Kim has worked with Border Collies' on her family's farm which are used to work the cattle. Animal therapy programs are another area in which Kim has been active in since 1992. Kim has attended numerous classes and seminars.

Cindy Shuler
HandlerK-9 Pappy – Liver & Tan Bloodhound Cindy has been handling a bloodhound since 2003. She is a member of the Washington County K-9 Unit. Cindy current works at the family dealership with her husband and family. She has attended numerous classes and seminars.

Denise Sharpe
HandlerK-9 Jesse - Blue Merle Blue Heeler / Border Collie Mix Denise is a member of the Washington County SAR K-9 team. She holds a Bachelor's in Emergency Administration and Management from Arkansas Tech University and has numerous FEMA certifications to include NIMS IS-100, NIMS IS-200, and NIMS IS-700. She also has multiple certifications with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM). Denise is a Gulf War veteran and has been an American Red Cross Health, Safety, & Disaster Instructor since 1992. She has 10 years experience as a Search & Rescue ground unit team member and began working with the K-9 units in 2005. Denise lives in Northwest Arkansas and is the Warehouse Operations Manager for Rockline Industries in charge of global distribution.

Jennifer Davis
HandlerK-9 Bella - Red Merle Austrialian Shepherd Jennifer has been a member of the Washington County SAR K9 unit since 2005. She managed an insurance agency in Springdale, AR for the past eleven years and is now the assistant director at a Montessori School in NWA. She holds a B. A. degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas. Jennifer and Bella have been doing area search since 2005 and started cross training on HRD in March of 2008. Jennifer has completed the following classes: NIMS IS100, IS200, IS700; Wilderness First Aid Basic; CPR; SAR Tech II; CERT; First Strike: Animal Cruelty & Interpersonal Violence; Child Abduction, Human Trafficking, Courtroom Testimony & Blood borne Pathogens.
Terry Tucker
Handler (Currently Inactive)K-9 Buddy - Black Labrador Retriever Mix Terry has been a member of the Washington County SAR horse mounted unit since 2001. He completed the NASAR SARTECH II training in March 2002. Terry started handling a mixed breed K-9 named Buddy in January 2006. He is currently serving on both the K-9 and mounted units of the Washington County SAR team. Terry is employed as the Feed Mill Manager for Tyson Foods in Springdale, AR at the Johnson Road Feed Mill. He has worked with Tyson for a total of 18 years in various positions in Arkansas, Alabama, and Missouri. Terry holds a Bachelor's in Agricultural Business from Arkansas Tech University and has completed the Basic Horseshoeing Course at Northwest Techical Institute. Terry has attended several classes and seminars since 2005.

Jim Moorhouse
Support Personnel
Jim has been a member of the Pope County K-9 Unit since 2001. He has been working as a support member of AABSS since its formation. Jim assists in setting up training exercises for the handlers and flanking for handlers during searches. Jim has attended many seminars and classes.

Klay Rowbotham
Support Personnel Klay has been working as a support member of AABSS since 2006. Klay runs all of the computer logistics for the unit during training and searches. Klay also assets in setting up training exercises and flanking for handlers during searches. Klay holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Arkansas Tech University. He owns KlinTech Inc which provides information technology solutions for small businesses. Klay has attended several classes and seminars since joining AABSS.

Erin Rowbotham
Support Personnel
Erin has been a member of AABSS since 2006. Erin assists in scheduling of unit events, unit logistics during training and searches, and assisting in setting up training exercises for the canines. Erin holds a Bachelor's in Accounting from the University of the Ozarks. She has been an insurance agent in Clarksville, AR since 2002. Erin has attended several classes and seminars.
